PELVIC HEALTH at Taylor & Thornburg Physical Therapy in Oakland, CA

Pelvic health is important for physical, mental, social, and sexual well-being. Pelvic health physical therapy can help with muscle control, tissue repair, pelvic pain, healing internal portions of cesarean section scars, stress and urge incontinence, and voiding dysfunction.
We take a collaborative and holistic approach to treat patients with pelvic floor conditions.

Pelvic health-related problems can be embarrassing and isolating. Our physical therapists are well familiar with addressing these problems, will quickly put you at ease, and come up with an effective treatment plan. We will take time to listen well and address your concerns and are very used to discussing and addressing these issues.

What is the Pelvic Floor?

The pelvic floor is integral to the muscular control of our core (abdomen). It is analogous to the ground floor of a building. When it is weak, too tight, or not functioning properly, it influences core control. It is not uncommon for our low back pain and balance clients to have problems with pelvic floor control and function.
